Penni Moussa is the Director and Principal Clinical Psychologist at Rainbow Hub Psychology. She is a warm and compassionate clinician, who holds her clients closely through their journey with her. Penni has tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology (MPsych), is recognised by AHPRA, the Psychology Board of Australia (PBS), and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) as a specialist in the area of psychology. Penni is also a member of the Australasian Society of Traumatic Stress Studies (ASTSS), AusPATH, and is Sira Accredited. With over 24 years’ experience in clinical practice, Penni brings both lived experience and exceptional clinical skills to her work, providing a holistic environment for your healing and care. Her compassion and understanding creates a safe space as she works alongside all of her clients of many ages to provide psychological support.
Penni’s vision is to provide inclusive psychological support to the community with diversity and individual needs at the forefront of her service. Penni’s special interests include transgender mental health, complex trauma, post-traumatic growth, gender identity, gender dysphoria, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. Her experience ranges from treating a variety of complex clinical presentations, to challenging current life situations.
Penni is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, EMDR, and EFT. Penni also has a strong interest in Buddhist Psychology, Mindfulness and Art Therapy, as well as Compassion Focussed Therapy and Self-Compassion Techniques.
Penni has vast experience working with adolescents and adults from life changes to complex mental health needs. Penni is also an artist in her spare time, and the founder of Recovery Buddha a community group that supports women in recovery.
Penni sees adults and adolescents at Rainbow Hub Psychology and is currently available for appointments on Thursdays and Fridays. Available days will be expanding in the future. Appointments are available either in person or via telehealth.
