Assessment

At Rainbow Hub Psychology, we provide a range of assessments for adolescents and adults only, offered both online and in-person.

Available Assessments

Autism Assessment

Option 1 – Comprehensive Report

Includes:

  • Full diagnostic assessment
  • Comprehensive report (15–30 pages)
  • Diagnostic interview (up to 3 hours, across 1–2 sessions)
  • Feedback session (50 minutes)

Option 2 – Diagnostic Summary Letter

Includes:

  • Full diagnostic assessment
  • Diagnostic letter (2 pages, with brief recommendations, sent via email)
  • Diagnostic interview (up to 3 hours, across 1–2 sessions)
  • Feedback session (50 minutes)

Both options require online assessments and intake forms to be completed 1–2 weeks prior to your diagnostic appointment.

Estimated Fees:

  • $1,750 – Comprehensive report
    • $1,500 due at scheduling of diagnostic assessment
    • $500 due at scheduling of feedback session
  • $1,550 – Diagnostic letter (one-off payment at scheduling)

Note: Autism assessments alone are not sufficient for NDIS or DSP applications. These require an additional functional capacity assessment (see below).

WPATH Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy (GAHT) / Surgery Readiness Assessment

We provide a safe, supportive environment and follow an Informed Consent model for clients seeking gender-affirming healthcare. Following assessment, you will receive a letter for your specialist in line with WPATH Standards of Care (Version 8).

Assessment includes (over 1–3 sessions):

  • Health, mental health, and wellbeing history
  • Questionnaires related to gender experience
  • Exploration of gender identity, dysphoria/euphoria, and incongruence
  • Readiness for GAHT or surgery
  • Recovery needs and available supports
  • Risks and benefits

Estimated Fees:

  • $750 – With report

NDIS Functional Capacity Assessment

Designed for clients requiring NDIS funding applications or reviews. Duration: 1–3 sessions (depending on complexity).

Assessment includes:

  • Disability history
  • Impact on daily functioning across life domains
  • Discussion of supports needed to enhance independence
  • NDIS-approved questionnaires
  • Feedback session with assessment results

Following assessment, a detailed report will be provided with recommendations for NDIS supports.

Estimated Fees:

  • $750 – With report
    (Payments accepted from self- or plan-managed NDIS clients only)

Disability Support Pension (DSP) Assessment

(For individuals aged 15 years 9 months and above)

The DSP is a Centrelink payment available to people with long-term medical or psychological (non-medical) conditions that significantly limit work capacity and daily life. We assist with applications related to Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and psychological conditions.

Assessment includes:

  • Diagnostic and disability history
  • Functional capacity questionnaires across life domains
  • Recommendations
  • Feedback session with results
